(Reviving very old thread ... Same / similar issue)

I am having issues / problems with trying to get a database listing for "Ted" airlines ... Remember that off-shoot of United ?

    Any advice / help ?

Perhaps "united airlines" entries could be United Airlines - UAL, so we could search for ual

First it is a relational DB. There are other design reasons, of which i can't remember on why we did that. Possibly in the future we could add a "exact matches only" check box or such...

    Airline Search Question ?

I just noticed that doing a "Quick Search" for all 1:400 "United Airlines" also returns 6 "China United Airlines" models.
This is solved by going to the "Advanced Search" and adding a "Country" criteria of "United States" ...

Is this due to the database being a literal search and not a search for the ID associated with "United Airlines" ??
    (Is this a relational or a flat-file database ?)

    Sorry ... I'm a DBA ... Enough said ?
