This has been fixed. We're now out of sandbox and in production, you can subscribe.

Curious how many have signed up for this new paywall service.

Subscribed! Back to normal, and great to be able to see 1/200 scale models again!

I mean, is it worth it though? When there's another free site out there. Is the money spent worth it? Or is there something the subscription offers more?

Maybe I'm just too old now. I really don't have the time or the motivation to start all over on another site. I've grown so accustomed to Waffle's photo formats too I guess. My collection is still there and my wish list is still there. 90 some bucks per year is just a little over filling a full tank of gas in my SUV. I checked out that other free site. Can't place my finger on exactly why I don't care for it. Maybe someone else can define what it is about that other site that rubs me the wrong way.

That free site exists because they scraped data off of Dima and copied everything. Even down to small things we noticed. Someone else is trying to take waffles years of effort for self-gain. Sad really.

One; that doesn't answer my question.
Two; perhaps it may have been bad form, but there's nothing illegal about it.
Three; how can it be self-gain when it's free?? That's an oxymoron.

                    Good to hear. Congrats!

Now since this is a paid service, will subscribers be treated as customers? In particular, will model submissions be considered in a timely fashion? In some cases in the past, it felt like one had to beg repeatedly for many months, and sometimes years.

If you already used DIMA before it was locked, then you already know what it offers (I'm in and it's still the same). If you think that other place offers the same thing as DIMA, then you just have to make a decision. If money is the deciding factor, then the decision is simple.

I'm not a lawyer, but read the fine print at the bottom of this page. Some could argue that it was more than "bad form".

Oh I don't know. Being able to create a website that someone wanted to create but it required some "bad form" actions to create is a form of gain, no? Maybe that other site is a free site for right now. The moment that site becomes something other than free, sometime in the distant future when most of us have forgotten about this episode, I'm sure there will be at least one person who hadn't forgotten and will be sure to get a cut of the financial reaping plus other mandatory fees.
