We are out to show that this hobby still has lots of good people in it. There has been turmoil and turnover elsewhere, think of this as a sanctuary, a new place that you can come to, feel refreshed and help build from the ground up!

Sharing my thoughts
I joined W900 when it was W500 and have enjoyed the people I have met, the models bought & sold and the reference material available, However its been a while since have enjoyed being on the site, its has gone down hill.
I heard about DIMA a few weeks ago and I registered last night. This morning I had problems importing my collection over so I asked for help. Less than four minutes later, BINGO I had help. Web Administrator helped me, who am I kidding, he did it all for me and it worked great! On W900 I have left several message and questions and NADA! Here a quick ask and wow great service.
I am looking forward to learning more about the site and contributing to its success.
Thank you

Can some one please help me with an answer to what might appear to be a stupid question, namely, why are collections listed in such an arbitrary way? May I suggest that they be listed in the order they were bought in or gifted to the owner. I keep a spread sheet of all the models in my collection in the order I got them, just so I know any particular model I want to check on is only a click away. I take this chance to wish all collectors a very happy New Year.

The order is not arbitrary. It is ordered how you configure it in your preferences: http://www.diecastmodelaircraft.com/preferences

I am glad you don't allow the hate and anger that is evident on other sites. That spoils the hobby.
What binds us all together is our shared passion we all have for aviation by collecting model aircraft of that which we enjoy so much.
Thank you for providing a civil platform where we are free to share without fear of being trampled on by less civil trolls.
If I may ask: How has Dima grown this past year?
I honestly don't understand why there isn't an explosion of members here. The mind boggles. It appears to me as if people seem to enjoy the conflict and negativity elsewhere.
I am still holding thumbs that Dima will overtake the other forums.

NO complaints at all! great website and my only suggestion is that you should try to make it so that when a model in your want list becomes available, an email is sent and/or a little tag of some sort is put on the page where it says want list so that you can see that you may be able to add a new model to your collection. Also if you could make models show as available when other retailers have them (though that my hurt business wise) that would be amazing.

If you want other retailers, ask them to contact us.

I think this is a great site to find any information regarding technical details about my model aircraft collection I have now or,will get in the future. I do, however have one small gripe. You ask us to put up the price we've paid excluding postal charges which have to be entered as a separate item, and then state how much the model is worth, and whether we've paid the right money for it. May I with respect ask you to scrap it. You seem to base your prices on what you would pay in the U.S, and calculate them from there. If I took any notice of that information I've lost a great deal of money because we have to pay a good bit more for our planes here in Europe being as most of us are, in the Eurozone.
