Even the Customer Base that flies routinely on American Airlines are not too happy with the new livery. I pretty much agree with the "nays" ... the money it will cost could be better spent improving their image inside the cabin. The Red, White and Blue stripes with the iconic "AA" will surely be missed. It wouldn't surprise me if American back tracked on this new livery if they keep getting negative feedback from their customer base. Don't let them fool you with the idea that they can't maintain the "Polished Silver Fleet" due to the introduction of new polimers in constructing the next generation of aircraft ... they did manage to chrome out their A300B4-622R Fleet that was painted Grey for many years beforehand, and they can do it with the 787-823's etc...DELTAFLYTE

Hardly ever seen an uglier livery. This AA, is a change for the worse ! But these days hardly see an airline changing coloours to the better unfortunately.
Seeing the examples in the past time like LOT, AA, CSA, SAS, FINNAIR, AIR NZ....mainly all white, boring, ugly....I wonder why airlines still pay the marketing companies hell lot of money while they create design a small child could do better. I mean, seriously...compare that to what eg Landor designed for BA or Canadian, the former SAS colours with the countries colours as a bottom stripe or the beautigul crane from JAL. These are liveries that have a meaning and a proud logo....like AA had with the eagle. My wife just said when I showed here the new "eagle" it looks like there is a door open or sthg like that from distance...just simply ugly.
