    Reports confirm that during the approached to landing that the tail hit the seawall at the start of the runway breaking the back half. Somehow the plane didn't clear the seawall as they put it down too early, simple as that.

      For people who collect planes that have crashed, this 777 has been made by JC Wings, and has the part number JC4AAR174. The registration is HL7742.

        It is my understanding the crew thought the auto-throttles were on... but they were not.

        The Airline Pilot Guy Capt. Jeff Neilsen did a good podcast about this a couple weeks ago.
