I am up to 128 models in 1/400; mostly British and European. My criteria for collecting are varied.. former customers of where I used to work, ones I used to see as a kid flying over our house, and visitors to Gatwick. They are kind of addictive, as those criteria are getting blurred..I intend to make an airport diorama at some point to show them all off..

I'm at 109 in 1/400, and 4 in 1/200. As another poster said I TRY to collect aircraft I've had contact with or have significant meaning for one reason or another but alas that only "kind of" works. My 1/200 scale restriction is more effective, I only buy airliners in liveries I've actually piloted......for now lol.

I have very specific collection criteria: Only aircraft with which I've had physical contact, either through travel or work. Keeps things from getting out of hand. I'm at 19 now.

Another 20 models by year end, i.e., 5 per month? I'd like to be under that number, but I could live with it too.. In addition to the above mentioned I'd probably be interested in any A319/320/321 with sharklets plus any Embraers (or other regionals) that fit my collecting criteria. So, maybe there is potential for another 20 models..
Once football kicks off and the holidays start gearing up I get pretty busy. (Football I love, the latter I could do without..)
Anyhow, what I really, really, need is *more time* to enjoy the models I already have..

Four months later I'm up by 17 planes to 140.. Just got a DC-3 in today from Waffle.
I feel like I'm slowing down a lot. I've started to branch out a little bit into some military a/c.. most recently a C-130 and a C-17.. (I'm waiting for GJ to issue a "Travis AFB" C-5M). I also plan to add some more of the new generation 787s and A350s, the latter as soon we get a regular livery for it. If Aeroclassics ever does a Buffalo or Everts C-46 I would preorder that too.
I definitely running out of ideas though.. Mostly I've spent time working on building airport dioramas and photographing them.

84 of these are from US based airlines, and the rest (mostly heavies) are international.

it's nice to see someone stay "sane" while collecting. I'm already rethinking my habits so i can break them....

Have you considered getting the DiMA signature thingy like mine? I'll look for your collection now....

More likely this year as the Model Manufacturers are really cranking out the missing coveted pieces to my collections, already up to 948 1:400 and 135 1:200. Probably will start selling off some of my 1:400 scale in a years time ... thinking of keeping primarily most of the vintage era liveries (those with an actual cheat-line/1960's thru 1990) and eliminate those liveries after 1995 (primarily Euro-white liveries) that have little character to them (IMO).
