Sweet! I am impressed with Gemini for fixing this so efficiently!
Can't wait till mine arrives!

On a related note to one of John's earlier postings, I just finished modifying my Virgin Australia ATR-72 with a bit of Humbrol gloss black and lemon yellow yesterday. Like John's example, it looks a lot better now. Pity JC isn't a bit more like GJ in this regard. Issuing a sample picture and acting on collectorate feedback for the release seems to work very well. Kudos GJ!

Just a word of caution on the Qantas Shorts they tend to be tail heavy.

Hey Richard, thanks for the comment regarding the Virgin ATR. Painting the prop tips yellow would have been a pain in the ***. I will get around to it one day, but not any time soon.

<DIV>As for the Qantas Shorts 360, GJ nailed it! Looking at A.net photos and the actual model, i dont think i can personally fault it. They have stepped up their game again. </DIV>

Cheers John. Actually I found doing the prop tips easier than blacking out all the red on the blades, particularly the fiddly bit around the hub. I simply loaded the brush up with a light load of yellow and drew it gently across the tips. The caveat I must mention is that I forked out for one of those illuminated magnifying lamps a while ago as the old eyes aren't what they used to be and that really helped! I should get off my butt and take a photo of it to encourage you to take the final step yourself. It is well worth it!

Yes, the Shorts looks really swish! I see they changed it from Sunstate to Qantaslink too. Presumably for better brand recognition &amp; marketing outside Oz... Hm, I may have to get two now and do up a set of Sunstate decals... I'm also hoping they'll give us an Australian Airlink example one day. Which will of course be okay with the five blade units! <DIV>I think they were $32aud. I got impatient so purchased mine from a seller in HK. You will have to email Terry to see if he has any left. It is a popular subject. </DIV>

Richard, i would love to see photos of your completed work on the ATR. The props spinning while i was painting actually made it easier for me.

The props on mine don't spin unfortunately, even before I painted them.
They turned okay, (and still do) but they aren't free enough to actually
spin... Admittedly that might have made it easier to do the tips.

Here we go:

<DIV>Mark, you are correct, they are a tad tail heavy. Mine seems ok now, but had a few issues when i first took it out of the box.</DIV>

Ok, a few more models from my collection. Next is the Qantas Boeing 747 400 VH-OJS. This GJ model is sporting the Socceroos livery from the 2010 worldcup.
