This scale model was originally a Revell-Kiko (Brazilian made Revell) DC-6. I shortened the fuselage to convert it to a LAPSA (Lloyd Aéreo Paraguayo S.A.) DC-4. LAPSA was a privately owned company which flew two Curtiss CW-20T (C-46), two DC-4 and a L-049 Constellation from Asunción to Buenos Aires, Montevideo and Sao Paulo from 1961 to 1965. It's in 1/144 scale.

Thanks. In the past, I used to build a lot of models. I started building models in 1967 when I was 7 years old. I built scale models regularly up until 2008. Then, I stopped doing it in favor of collecting diecast models. As you probably saw in my pictures, most of my scale models have Paraguayan colors, either commercial, civil or military. Unfortunately in the diecast market, there aren't many. I just could get a LAP (Líneas Aéreas Paraguayas) DC-8-63 from Aeroclassics. So, I decided to collect diecast planes from my favorite North American airlines such as Pan Am, Braniff, Eastern and TWA. Best wishes from Paraguay.
