  • MY DREAM 1/200 model and why!!

My dream model is a Airlines of South Australia Convair 440. my first 4 flights were in them, Broken Hill and Whyalla. Just such an important plane that one day will grace my display!!!!!
it would be the holiest of grails to me. a real memory treat for me .
Have donor model ready to go, reckon amongst the aussie collectors she would be quite popular

Send me a PM Steve with the latest addition of my laser printer i think your dreams might come true....

Hi Al!!! I was waiting for you to chime in mate, and you did!!! Thanks, Umm donor is herpa Rovos Air 1/200, and either livery would be great as chances are I flew on both, Back then I did not note registrations but for some reason City of Adelaide VH-BZN triggers my memory for some reason!!!
And I do prefer the stripes coming to a point at the nose!!!
Later in the year I will deffo send it over to you, and also toying with a Modelpower Fokker 50 to be done in Ansett shooting star livery also.
Deffo be in touch re these two models and im sure many others will want there Convairs done too. Mine will be a good test case for you I think!!!
Bit of a challenge, but Ive seen your capability and have a 1/400 custom from you, so ASA I can imagine will look awesome when done.
Deffo a beautiful reminder of my first ever flights.

I'd really be after one or two of these in 1:400.
A friend of the family, Keith McCoy used to fly these Convairs for ASA.
                  It'd be a nice gift I think.
Pity they weren't done when Aeroclassics did the Ansett-ANA Convairs.
'City of Adelaide' (BZN) is my favourite.
