Heres one I learnt today!! A soft white ereaser will remove most rubbing from cradle marks from your diecast model. Ive tried it and heck it really works!!! Used Staedtler Rasorplast eraser and it worked a treat.
Avail from most newsagents, art stores, supermarkets etc,

Thanks to Nick at Jetway Models for this invalueable tip!!

Most of you will already know that we use Acetone to remove decals from diecast models, but did you know that by using Metal Polish and a rubber tipped tool you can remove all the marks that the Acetone leaves behind and it will not mark the decals you wish to keep.

I use Solvol Metal polish and a Clay sculpting tool bought from the Hobby Store, the model also buffs up well with a clean cotton cloth.

Phoenix's infamous tail heavy 747's. This problem is usually caused by loose gears so what I do is get some blue tac and a pin, roll very small balls and stuff them under the gear bases and then get some Selley's araldite (or metal glue) and apply it with a toothpick (sharp ended one). Make sure it sits right first with the blue tac.

What do you mean by blank Jason??. If your 747 has a white body the I could create decals if I knew exactly what you wanted.(but have constraints/limitations)

                    Hey Mike,

Ive given it a go myself.... bare in mind the white will not print. Planing on getting these printed on a clear decal sheet. This will be my first attempt on a 1:400 scale model and decided to use the easiest Air New Zealand livery I know..... any tips mate would be greatly appreciated.
