  • South American Customs by Mumrik

    Hello everyone,

As a consequence of the problems with Photobucket and for easier sorting of the big variety of my models I now split up my models into different treads depending on the origin of the custom in question.

Here we have the South American customs tread, starting of with two Avianca and two LATAM models.

    1:500

    Avianca Colombia Boeing 727-200 HK-2152X
    Avianca Colombia Boeing 767-300 N984AN
    LATAM Boeing 767-300 CC-CML and CC-CWV

      Hello everyone,

A long time without any update in these treads. Have had a very busy fall of last year, so have not been too good at keeping these treads up to date. However, hoping that 2018 will turn out better, I’ll start this year with some new models from last fall.

      From South America we have:

      1:400

      Aviateca Boeing 767-200
      Lacsa Boeing 757-200
      TAME Airbus A330-200 HC-COH

The Guatemalan part of Avianca today, was previously known by the name of Aviateca. They did operate a fleet of a few 737 in this livery during the 1990s, however, never a 767. If they would have operated one during that time, this is probably how it would have looked.

This Lacsa Boeing 757-200 is a show of how the Lacsa livery could have looked if the airline were to have acquired the Boeing 757.

HC-COH, the sole Airbus A330-200 of TAME at 17 years of age. Delivered to Emirates in December 2000, she were picked up by TAME in July 2013. It today operates on the route between Quito and New York.

        Good evening everyone,

A new update of customs for the South America tread, all completed during the autumn months of 2017. This time including the following.

        1:400

        AeroGal Boeing 767-300 HC-CIJ
Boliviana de Aviación (BoA) Boeing 767-300 CP-2881
        TACA Boeing 747-400

HJ-CIJ, a 25-year-old 767-300ER originally delivered to United Airlines in 1992 with registration N650UA, it was planned to then join Conviasa, it received the registration YV1006C but were not taken up, instead entered service with OceanAir in 2007 and Avianca in 2009. It was during this period that it was leased to AeroGal and painted in this livery. It has since then been acquired by Asia Atlantic Airlines in 2013 with registration HS-AAC.

CP-2881 was the first of the current 767s in Boliviana de Aviación fleet, a 23-year-old Boeing 767-300ER fist delivered to Alitalia in 1995, saw service with TAM in 2008 and the joined BoA in 2014.

A 747-400 is maybe a little big for TACA, but it is a livery that does suit the queen of the skies. A fantasy livery of how a TACA 747 could have looked.
