I know John had already done it, so he may be able to advise on which paint he used?

--Bring it around mate, have a couple blacks, ones more a dark charcoal for a more realistic effect, wont take long to do. and a deeper black also!!! in a satin finish. Easy fix mate!!Collector of aircraft, truck, car and earthmover models

--I believe the story is the Aircraft come out of the factory with these protective red dust covers that also prevent windmilling and also prevent ground staff running into them, well somone obviously took a photo of the plane, the modelfactory copied what they saw, and whammo, big booboo was made!!!
Dare say to rush production along, they did not check the facts first and so the mistake was done on the model.

I must admit, the first A.net pic i saw of the Virgin Australia ATR had me fooled also. I honestly thought they painted the props red, but they were infact prop covers. So i can understand why they made the mistake, BUT!!!!! They should have relaxed their sacks a little and waited for a few more piccies! They were the only manufacturerwith the mould and GJ were not going to releaseit,so it was not as if they were up against any competition to see who will release first!
<DIV></DIV>Anyway, it is a pretty easy fix, especially if you have a fine brush and a very steady hand. The props spin while you try to paint, so thats the only downside.John
