Xîn lóng International 1:400 - New Modern Chinese Airport
Xîn lóng International Airport is nearing completion and in the latest instalment I have added the gate numbering, taxiway markings and aircraft positioning markings. Check it out here:
Obviously its not much good having fully equipped gate spaces if none of the pilots can find their gates or lineup their aircraft correctly to meet the airbridges. So one of the finishing touches to...
Updates, updates, updates and corrections. Yes there had been mistakes, but thanks to my dear readers they are hopefully fixed! Also I've been playing with the camera so here are the first real live photos from Xin Long:
Wow, I love the setup for this airport. I saw the pictures you posted on your site and I was blown away. How is it that you get the "roundness" on the terminals? And how were you able to integrate the GJ double body gates to the equation? This project is a real inspiration for people like myself who want to branch off the normal "Geminijets landside/airside" terminal layout. This really goes outside of the box!
Keep it up! I would love to see more updates to this with other liveries and other angles of the layout!

Thanks - glad you like it. The answers to your questions about the round terminal piers can be found here:
Great work Richard, enjoyed watching the progress, and amazed at what can be used for buildings..) Seeing airports like this has been the 'inspiration' to resume collecting these again, and will one day result in my own airport..
Wow that looks like a lot of fun, imagine all the different scenarios you could model up with a nice diorama like that! I would spend all day taking pictures of them.
Xîn lóng International Airport is back in business. She survived the move and with a bit of extra work is now looking better than ever. This is just the beginning as in the next week or so she should have her own website up and running. Check out progress here:
