1/500 Revisited (2022)

I've got plans to do another UK 1/400 model airport soon which will be a new rendition of my previous display. The base board has arrived so work will begin soon.

In the meantime, with the postponed US model airport, I decided to showcase my 1/500 collection again on a small diorama I made during lockdown sometime. I did post some pictures before of this layout but the lighting and setting was not great for photo's. I've also acquired some more models that have yet to be featured.

The sequence of photos will follow a year by year pattern. The only year missing is 2000 - just so you know it's not a mistake when it jumps from 1999 to 2001.

Lovely diorama. Always liked that older britannia livery, reminds me of the aeroflot livery they used in the early 90's on their a310's. Also, like any diorama that includes an illusion 76.
