BA world tail expainations

It explains the world tail liveries & gives an article of where the artwork came from. From what i could tell it's artsy fartsy crap & is just gibberish that doesn't even mean much even in context of the countries history.

I liked the BA World Tails, even Comair South Africa (a franchise of BA) had beautiful colours.
I think it fitted in quite nicely with the subtext they had of "The WORLD'S favourite airline".

Maybe it was ahead of it's time - in the sense that all humans in the world are part of the same species and we should find common ground for the betterment of the planet.
The hoo-ha which emerged as a result of the colours and the political upheaval which ensued is quite perplexing to me.

You know that Diecastairplane.com still has a decent stock of the British Airways 777 with the Rendevouz tail? I'm actually going to pick one up myself since those tails have become a rarity nowadays.

I had no clue there was political hoo-ha over this.

As for it being ahead of it's time...NOT. Throughout human history, there has always been some people who have the non realistic dream baised on being the same species, tribe, family, etc we should find common ground for the betterment of the planet(?) ...Hmm i was thinking you were saying for the betterment of civilization, community, people, etc.

I don't understand what the planet has to do w/ the sentiment. ...my first thought was indirectly affecting the planet. We get along so we don't go nuclear, that would pollute the planet, but it's how it affects us & our perception that matters, not literally any damage to the planet. [i just woke up, so i hope this makes sense in the correct tone]
