Yea it was all over the Boeing Community on Google+ this weekend, seems like ANZ is the launch customer for the 787-9? (correct me if I'm wrong). Very sharp looking plane. Wish I could take that to New Zealand
Edit: I'm assuming Phoenix will be the first to release it (Geminijets seems a little slow with their 787 releases especially since they haven't released an ANZ model in a while).
Yes I saw that thread.. I just got a couple of Phoenix models from Waffle and they were fine.
It's been a pretty boring last few weeks for me where collecting is concerned. I spent that time building up my little int'l terminal, which I will post photos of in the next couple of weeks.. It's nothing special, but I'm fairly proud of it as I built it from scratch.
Anyway, I have a 3x weekly from Air New Zealand.. I'd love to add this 787 *if* someone makes it.
So. I decided to check the Gemini Jets Facebook page and they have announced a release of the 787-9 using JC WINGS mold. And the first release will of coarse be ANZ all blacks. I am definitely going to keep my eyes on that once it's released.
I have been all over these boards the last few months trying to figure out who is using who's molds and so forth.. No cogent answers forthcoming! For example, the JC Wings 777-300... Is it the Gemini 777-300? Does anybody know??? If I knew one way or other it would affect my ordering.
I ordered the Phoenix 787-9 as my other 787-8 are Phoenix/Gemini. Some airplanes I will only order in certain molds. It has nothing to do with 'accuracy'; mostly I want to just keep the errors consistent
That really is a toss up. Although this month I am receiving my first Phoenix model. It is a 777-300. Which I have a few from Gemini as well. I'll compare them. I'm aware of the fact manufacturers interchange molds but the fact Gemini openly admitted they are using JC wings molds is making me more open to branch out of the GJ only collection I have.
