sorry to report that today at my local RAFA local airshow at shoreham-by-sea in u.k, a HAWKER HUNTER doing a loop, CRASHED ONTO THE NEARBY MAIN A27 ROAD as it came out of the bottom of the loop. hitting several vehicles. at least 7 are known to have died so far. not heard fate of pilot yet
. was the first time I had gone to this show, even though its only about 5 miles from me. mainly went to see the final flight of the AVRO VULCAN over the sussex skies. could not make the air tattoo at fairford earlier this year. while thet dealt with the aftermath of the accident, they held the VULCAN out at sea. after a while they let the Vulcan do a 'fly past' as a tribute. and that was it. all further flying was suspended. and now tomorrows show has been cancelled!
the main EXIT road out of the airport was severely damaged and blocked by debris, damaged vehicles and masses of emergency vehicles! trapping thousands of vehicles inside. luckily I went by train and got shuttle bus to airport. R.I.P to those that perished!
