  • Phoenix Models Quality?

Can anyone tell me how Phoenix Models compare to say Gemini 200 and some of the other good manufacturers? I'm looking at buying a few models in 1:200 and would like to know if it's worth my while to buy them.

I'm interested in the 1:200 Air Canada 787, the 1:200 British Airways 737-400, and the 1:200 British Airways 737-300 Hong Kong tail. Anyone have these models and willing to share some pictures with me and tell me yea or nay?

    Thanks!

To be honest it is hit and miss. Some are great and others have problems. The Air Canada 787 is an excellent model.

My Phoneix 1:200 British Airways 737-300 Hong Kong tail is perfect and very beaultiful. But my Tu-154 Aeroflot loose parts (were fixed with glue) and the rubber tire is mixed with the weight of the model.

I have a Royal Jordanian Airbus A330-200 made by Phoenix (1:400). Nothing to complain about with regards to quality.

I have been collecting PH models for quite a long time but I confess after receiving the recent release VARIG B747-400 PP-VPI I got disappointed about its paintwork errors.

I have a PHX 1/200 US Airways 737-400. While it is not as refined as Gemini's 737's ( no panel lines underneath, no spinning fan blades, wheel wells should be painted) i must say its acceptable. unfortunately i can only speak for this release. I have enjoyed their superior 1/400 777's.

So, do any of the 1:200 models from Phoenix have spinning engine blades? Is this something that is only the smaller engines such as the 737's and maybe the similar? I'm just wondering. I would really like to pick up a few of the liveries that Phoenix has out there, but I'm just unsure in regards to the overall quality.

I've been collecting some of their models, in both scales (1:200 & 1:400). I've had no issues with most of the models that I bought, expect for the VARIG 747 paintwork problem, as mentioned by Santos. IMHO, their 1:200 B787 lineup is amazing.

I know this is on 1:200 scale but here is a 1:400 Phoenix quality.

I got the British 737 Hongkong tail Phoenix, it is awesome! I personally think both of them are good, really depends on which model you are getting.
