Well, like I said, I did preorder the AN-225 from Waffle. And I did it using a discount code, so I got 10% off, which is a great deal compared to everyone else who is offering the model for preorder. Sorry to hear about you BigAss models. I guess it happens sometimes.

As for the Marines, I did 15+ years. As for why I didn't stay in...I was going to school at the time, and family and school were a little more important at the time. I just didn't have the time to devote to getting everything done to stay in. I wanted to, but I kind of got skimped on some important information that I needed for reenlistment. As much as I'd like to still be in, it's all good now. I'm finishing my last 2 classes for my bachelors degree right now, so I'll be done with school next week. Hopefully that will usher in an era of better paying jobs and a way for to support my 'addiction', LOL!

Congratulations on your impending bachelors degree, but you didn't say what's it for. How were you skimped on info, i always thought it was automatic to get re-enlisted?

Last month i bought a few inflight 200 planes, ~half were 747SPs & I wasn't impressed by them. this isn't to say they were bad, but didn't seem worth the money people bought them from me for or what they go for in MINT condition. I currently have the Qantas 747SP w/ broken front gear, if i could replace it i would sell it too. On a personal note i would be satisfied if Hogan (because they're cheaper than Herpa) would release an Alliance Air B747SP-44, i like the lion on the tail

brain flash, i saw on yesterday on ebay by chance that someone was cannibalizing a 1/200 plane landing gear, but couldn't remember what airframe. I just checked & quasimodo is selling the nose gear for $11, now i can research to see how much my Qantas can sell for when i replace the gear.

God help me if i was to win the lottery, i'd start buying custom planes w/ lighting & retracting landing gear (for a price it's possible), HELL i would have them put mini speakers w/ 747 jet engine sounds on it

In response to reenlistment, no it's not automatic. For the most part, the person reenlisting is responsible for their package as it's called. But there is someone in every unit that assists with this stuff. He failed to give me some important information. I probably should have known, but it wasn't something that I had ever come across before. Anyways, it's in the past now. I miss it, but it won't ruin my life. I'll always be a Marine. And as for my degree, civil engineering. Been a long road, and I'm glad to finally be done. I like Hogan and the price is fairly reasonable. I hope they can manage to get their hands on the SP mould. That would be awesome. And landing gear seems to be an issue with a lot of models. The rubber tires on my Herpa B-52 have cracked and broken even while being in its cradle in the box. I'll probably by some Hogan gear for some random plane that's about the same size and pull the tires off for that one. Also, it would be nice to see the manufacturers all go to metal gear with a better quality rubber for the tires. Oh well, that's my rant for more. Haha! Good luck on your landing gear canni.
