I was looking through the sale items and came across this jet... I actually considered buying it... Until I saw the price, not sure if it's a typo or if Waffle really is asking $250 for this 1:400 scale 747.

For someone who really REALLY want it?
Wow, that is a lot. I have over-paid for some long sold out 1:200 scale models of SAA because I just HAD to have a copy (and didn't want to wait 10 years and troll all collection sales in case it popped up). But this is 1:400!

My honest cap is $150 on a single model, and for me to spend that much it has to be a highly detailed 1:200 scale... I can't see myself spending over $200 on a model much less a 1:400 scale. I mean if you have the cash and really NEED this model then more power to you. But to an average die-cast collector who is used to spending $40-$50 on a 1:400 scale 747 I think the price is a little overboard.

My understanding is this isn't a normal 400 scale model - I think its got moveable flaps and was made specifically for the Japanese market only. I think they were quite pricey when they were released. Though I agree that's an insane amount of $$ for a model.

My big question is... How is $250 a "Sale" price?

And heck for the price Waffle should at least offer free shipping...
