I've been writing threads on DiMA since it began, using my 1:400 model collection as the basis for exploring the history of aviation. Recently I've been looking at creating a place of my own where all my content can be stored and I can also locate info which isn't strictly about the models themselves. I've been working on this now for the past few weeks and would now like to introduce my new website: Yesterday's Airlines
Blog Title2 by rstretton, on Flickr
The site at present contains 3 main focus areas:
There should be something for everyone, whether you're into classics or modern types. My airline development texts focus on more recent markets like China, South Africa, India etc as well as the UK, Canada and US in their pre and post-deregulation eras.
I'll still be posting on DiMA but my threads will also push you to new content on the website (which is totally not for profit I might add). This is all new for me so we'll see how it goes but I'm excited about the new site.
Please take a look and bookmark it if you like what you see. Hopefully its just the beginning, and I have plans to expand the airline dev sections to other nations as well as create new sections reviewing book series and magazines. Plus of course there'll be lots of new blog content coming too (currently there are 10 posts with expanded photos).
The first new blog entry should arrive tomorrow! Thanks for looking.
