  • The Pride of Santiago

To me when LAN Airlines comes to mind, I imagine the beauty that is Chile. The ancient history, the beautiful spanish colonies built there, and fact is it's a country I once want to visit. Santiago's Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport serves as the main hub to LAN Airlines a Chilean based company who's roots started in March 5th 1929. Over the weekend last week I came across what I believe is one of my best finds so far. A 1:400 scale Phoenix LAN Airlines 767-300ER in the "OneWorld" c/s. I did about a days worth of thinking and took the plunge (I had never ordered from this website so I was kinda sketchy with them) and honestly after a week of waiting my purchase has arrived! Like a 7 year old on Christmas morning I rummaged through the overly large package (to find it was well packaged with a fragile sticker attached as well) and all was intact with the plane. I absolutely love this plane, and for the fact it's from 2010 makes it better for the fact it has rolling landing gears. I think for the age and the detail Phoenix did a great job making this jet. But enough about my rants lets get on with pictures of the jet!

This is by far one of my favorite pictures because this jet looks amazingly detailed. And honestly looks more like a 1:200 scale in this picture.

Looks great. I think Phoenix's 767-300 is one of their better moulds.

This being my first Phoenix 767 I am pleased with my purchase. I agree with JAL1628s suspicion that Gemini Jets used Phoenix molds because the similarities between the 767 GJ and Phoenix are uncanny. Definitely recommending this model though...
