  • Lockheed L-049/749 Short Constellation Mould Review

Hi Guys - my latest mould review is ready and posted up at my website. We have two perfectly passable short connie moulds though both have faults. I think there's plenty of room for re-releases on an updated mould especially if we could get a version with a speedpak! There are still some major operators like Air France and Chicago & Southern unrepresented.

    Check it all out here:

I'm not quite sure what faults the Aeroclassics Connie has, as it just seems perfect to me. Great shame the mould got damaged and there will be no more!
I'm sorry, but I just hate the Dragon Wings mould with it's trench-like panel lines on its plastic wings, chunky undercarriage and poor cockpit printing.

Just the obvious seam which as you know is due to its age. I'm sure any new Connie mould (I know its not likely) would have a better join point like the current DC-6 mould. The Dragon Connie is not as good but it is passable in my opinion though I agree with your points.

I had that Pacific Northern in my cart several times and regret not buying it. That's bad news about the mould.. looks like it's gonna be either the Collection Sale or eBay if I want one..

Not at all! Jet Collector still have it in stock at $33.95, but I think it's one of their special offer models if you spend a certain amount.

I apologize Adrian, I meant to say Waffle had one for $19, which is more the range I wanted to pay*

*As I prefer "modern" liveries (i.e., last 20 years or so) I would *gladly* pay $34 immediately for an Aerochago SA L-1049.
