  • New Mould Review - Vickers Viscount

It's been a while since I did a mould review but I have several in the pipeline starting with Vickers excellent Viscount. Now this is a mould that suffers from a big seam but regardless I think its ok and its not like there are lots of manufacturers willing to make vintage props so acceptance is the name of the game:

There are still plenty of Viscounts left to do so I hope AC continue to slip a few out here and there - British Midland (3 liveries) especially would be much sought after.

Here's a small portion of my Viscount fleet:

Thanks for posting these pictures. IMHO Aeroclassics do a good job with the Viscount. In this scale the seam really isn't too much of an issue.

Ah a man after my own heart! Love all the Viscounts AC have made and the seam is not an issue on most models. Not sure why you have enitited this thread as 'NEW mould' Richard as the two AC Viscount moulds (series 700 and 800) have been in use for several years. At last we now have representatives of all the BEA schemes, but still missing are the various KLM liveries(only delivery scheme done) and hoping for others to be made like Aloha, Aer Lingus (green top), Icelandair, Ansett-ANA, NZNAC and many others.

Just because its a new review rather than a new mould but I see your point
