  • New Mould Review - Boeing 747SP

Following my review of the 747-100/200 here I take a look at the special performance. The SP took the mantle of longest range airliner from the DC-8-62 but in the end was a stopgap until engine performance improved on the standard 747s. We've recently got some more action with the SP in 1/400 scale so now is a good time to review the moulds and see what is left to be made:

I like this shot of the Boeing 7474SP's in your collection, but note that most of them do not have the wingtip antenna, which indicates to me, that though they carry the Gemini jets tag, not all of them were made by them.It may be only a small omission, but adds so much to the authenticity of the model, and dare I say, adds a bit more value to it.

I'm not sure what you mean, they are all Gemini Jets models. Early Gemini 747s of all kinds had no wing antennae and on the Pan Am model they are broken. Did you read the review itself which gives full details?
