          • Awesome pics there John, love your collection of Aussie subjects. I just received the Phoenix Ansett 743 in the Sydney Olympics theme, i absolutely love the quality build of that bird. They are fantastic models. I'd really like to have a V Australia 777, particularly the Phoenix version, so hard to come by, if you spot one let me know, i'd love to have it!

            • Thanks for the comments men, i appreciate it. Gonzalo, the Ansett B747 is a beauty, isnt it? I give them high marks for that particular model! As for the V Australia, i will keep an eye out for you! I only got mine thanks to Steve's quick thinking.

<DIV>Well today i recieved another model! It is the JC Wings 1:400 scale TAA Electra (VH-TLC). Beautiful little model, but it looks like it may have a slightly large nosegear door! But, that does not bother me in the slightest!</DIV>

                    • Nice pickup there John, i love that livery and the orange tail, so retro!! a sharp Stanley knife will do the trick. I had the same issue on an AV400 BA 732 with huge nose doors, so i trimmed them. Looks fine now. Where did you grab this one from, and how many chooks was it worth?

Have you picked up the AC Ansett Electra's poppyc on ebay has on sale, should grab them before they sell out. You'll have a nice Aussie Electra collection going. Should grab this pack if you can, it's dirt cheap for AC twin pack:

<DIV>Hey Gonzalo, i got this model for $35aud from CAMau! I saw them on eBay, but they are going for the same price! I will need to get the Ansett Electra's from poppy! I am really dragging my feet, and better score before i miss out. </DIV>
<DIV>As for the twin pack, i would love the Qantas Electra, but not the L1049! Not that i dont love the CONNIE! It is just that i have two DW versions already, and really dont want a third.</DIV>

                        • Cheers John, btw the AC Connie is better than the DW ones, especially the nose profile. I have the DW HARS Connie too. You could sell it on ebay individually for around $30, and keep the Electra. But for what poppy is selling it for, its a bargain.
