<DIV></DIV>Originally posted by ALITALIA_747Seriously, this is amazing!!! How many hours would this take to complete???
<DIV></DIV>I don´t know... never thought about . This kind of models take me about a year to complete but not working every day, just from time to time. The great thing about the models is that they are still in perfect condition. For instance, the dc-9 is eleven or twelve years old and has been hanging from ceiling during all the time. It´s exactly like the first day. A little dusty but perfect. Card is a noble material when correctly worked and much more durable that people may think. Also the bare metal finishing on card protects them very well.

<DIV>I want one!!!!</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>The dc-9 model is based on a GELI model, of course with lots of improvements and modifications including all interior like in the Caravelle.
<DIV>Anyway, you can build a decent model by default but not easy, paper modelling is not like plastic modelling. </DIV>
<DIV>GELI was a paper model company in Austria and last year, after years without these models, a group of cardmodellers bougth the rights for the kits and they are alive again. But the DC-9, dc-3, viscount, caravelle, etc... haven´t been reprinted yet. May be in a near future. You can get one old GELI dc-9 from time to time on ebay (usually Austria or Germany) but if it´s an original one better prepare bucks...</DIV>

<DIV>Here is the link for the new GELI site (only the JU-52 is back in production as a commercial aircraft and also Beech Bonanza and Cessna 152) all others are military models:</DIV>
