--This is the latest project on my workbench.. a scandinavian DC-9 made of card. With the help and direction of Jesus (Trident One) this model is gradually starting to take shape....

The model was started quite a while ago, but obstacles like finding silver card to print on, and acetate sheet for windows etc have all finally been overcome....

The model has been taken from an original kit made by Geli, but Jesus has made his own design by re-drawing parts and adding parts that the kit does'nt provide....

I'll try and keep this thread up to date as more work is done.

--As Jesus keeps telling me 'Card is a wonderfull medium to work with' with the right tools and techniques anything is possible, knowing the right type of card or paper to use is learnt with experience, but once you've mastered the basics it's a giant learning curve which i really enjoy.Martin

--This is the reason why progress on the card DC-3 has taken 2nd place, Jesus sent me the file for the beta parts of the rear fuselage, these had to be printed and built exactly as the final will be, but on plain card and not silver....

Everything fitted ok, so now onto the next stage.

--Just wondered if any of you are interested in how much work actually goes into one of these models:-
The Spantax and TAA are both printed on white gloss sticky backed paper, which are then stuck to thin card....

The model is then printed again on silver sticky back and various parts are used on top of the white gloss....

The outside edges of the windows are now cut and touched in with a silver pen, these are then stuck on the model and the inner hole is then cut. When all these have been fitted, the inner hole is then darkened with a black pen.
