I'm not sure if i ever posted any photo's of this Martinair DC-3, also made of card and taken from a Geli kit.



I took the photo's on my 1:400 scale mat to show it's scale......



I still have quite a bit of detail still to do, Exhausts, Aerials etc, oh! and the rear door that still needs to be hinged.....

Actually all parts are card except the Tyres, these can be made but take too long for me so i compromise on size and use wooden ones, these are better as they carry the weight without crushing.

That's terrific Martin. How heavy is the finished item. Being made of card I would expect it to be quite light, but for it to be rigid I guess it needs to be fairly substantial.

Hi Mike, quite light but robust, all the card is double skinned with black card to make it rigid, between these layers Acetate sheet is used for windows, so overall quite a solid lump.
