  • New Features and Bug Fixes

    New Features
    1. Want list to Collection Move - Click the icon in your Want List - it will ask you if you want to move the model to your collection. once you accept, it will remove it from you Want list, move it to your Collection and give you the option to edit the details about your purchase and model. (Thank you to dennypayne for the suggestion, which led us to the next two new features!)
    2. Trade to Collect/Collect to Trade - Click the icon in your trade or collection and it will switch it back and forth between collection and trade lists.
    3. Private On/Off - Click the icon in your trade or collection and it will switch on/off the privacy of the model
    4. Trade list will now respect your sort preferences (Thank you to TriscuitLvr for the suggestion)

    Bug Fixes
    1. Improved retailer and ebay availability links
    2. Fixed error with value graph displaying improper value for a model you did not own.
    3. Resolved issue with search results not displaying foreign characters correctly.

Something i am missing in comparison to Wings900: The Part # isn't shown in the "Your Wants" list. Can that be arranged? Thanks.

          Question:

My signature on DAC points to DIMA via http://www.diecastmodelaircraft.com/collection/eugenevh
My personal preferences are setup to sort via Scale, then Airline, then Aircraft then Manufacturer.

EDIT: Was a stupid question on second thought. My bad. Outsiders can change to see the way they want.

But I just thought it would look cool to display them in the way the collector sorted them. Then letting the viewer change the way they want to.
I guess it is 6 of the one and half a dozen of the other.

Must be a mild form of OCD on my part. When I change that view to SCALE, then it annoys me that the airlines aren't grouped together.

          Regards,

Thank you for adding the "Show only those available for purchase" button to the Want List.

I have a problem however if the want-list stretches over two (or more) pages, then as soon as you click on the Next page button, then it shows the entire wantlist's page 2, not only those models available for purchase.

Can you have a look at a possible solution to this please?

Thank you. I can see page two of available models in my want list now.
                Much appreciated. :cheer:

I'm rather disappointed that purchase dates aren't imported from W900. Can the import be changed to work with locally saved "my collection" HTML or while logged into W900 rather than from (in addition to) the public view?

Purchase dates cant currently be imported because they are not displayed on the public URL that Wings900 or DAC provides; we cannot control that. An HTML import would have to be written from the ground up to allow for an HTML import; not impossible but just time consuming and would probably cause most people to be confused on which import to do - people can't even follow the current import directions, can you imagine how confused they would be with saving files and uploading them. As for as logging into those sites, we would never collect your passwords or user ids for that sites, we may be able to look at something where the import opens your collection in a new window, obtains the content and posts that back to DiMA for processing.

I appreciate that. Whatever you can do to import purchase dates would be great. Call it "expert mode" ;-) Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Quick research here shows what you were thinking will actually be stopped by your browser. We actually did a quick test and the browsers and javascript actually prevent this. It would be considered cross site scripting attack; so the same-origin policy comes in to play: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Same_origin_policy

How many dates do you need added?

I thought so. File upload would work around that.

I have over 1000 items on my list… :surprised:
