  • Export Collection?

    Good Afternoon DiMA team,

I was wondering and wasn't sure if maybe I wasn't seeing this. But I know there's a way to print a collection as a PDF, but my question is: Is there anyway a collection can be exported as a spreadsheet or as an Access Database file? I wanted to do a more in-depth method of tracking my collection where I could maybe have an Excel Spreadsheet. I mean I know this could be asking a lot from the DB, but I was just asking to see if maybe this would be something that is available or will be available? I know a lot of people have their own method of keeping tabs on their collection on a file that can be updated regularly rather than generating a flat PDF file that must be printed out whenever a plane is added.

Thanks in advance for the response.

Sorry no. THere is no export option available. Doing so could risk the ability for someone to copy the entire database very very easily.

Ahh, gotcha. Well no problem Ops, I was just curious to see if the option was there and wasn't seeing it. But I agree with your statement it would definitely give copycats an advantage. Thanks for the quick response!

I agree it would be helpful for collectors to do some more in-depth analyses of collections, e.g. By scale, geography, manufacturer, type etc. - that would also remove the need for exports. Are there any pertinent plans?
