  • Welcome to DiMA

    Welcome to DiMA!

After a few months of hard work, we are pleased to present to you DiecastModelAircraft.com.. Quite a bit of time has been spent by a number of people creating this site. So a big thanks to everyone one involved!

Now for a few items that you should know:
    • The software that this site is based off of is in beta testing mode; the software vendor is very close to going releasing the product; we are fortunate to be able to run it before it becomes public. You will see updates now and then and new bugs/issues may be introduced as we keep upgrading the site through the different software releases.
    • Some may ask why we chose to use a beta product. In the end; it will save time. Creating this site on the previous release would mean that once we wanted to upgrade to the latest version, we'd have to re-code a good portion of things all over again and go through another migration process.
    • Because the software is so new; there will be limitations to what we can and can't do. As the software matures we will be posistioned to bring an improved experience to you!

    Database
    • We have the best database out there; and we have full usage of the photos you see, and a license to use the logos from AirlineLogos.net !
    • The Collection system and Want system is similar to what other websites have; but you'll find some better features with us!
    • We expect to add on new features to the collection system in the coming weeks

Please drop us a line in this thread and tell us what you think... we are glad to have you aboard!

had a slight problem logging in, you may want to point out them current members WAIT till they get the SECOND e-mail, (and ignore the first) before they try to re-logon. so its time to start checking out the rest!!!!!!!

added. where is 'EDIT YOUR PROFILE' link. tried it from log-in email and got this message!1

That action could not be completed. Please try again, and if this occurs again please contact the system administrator and tell them how you got this
        message.

also is the database cost price still in dollars??? thanks!!

Edit profile is a drop down from the very very top, next to your name and message counter.

You can adjust your currency in the preferences inside the collection system. We support 115 currencies. When you sent your currency, what you have in your collection will be shown as that; and all other views will automatically convert the values to your local currency.

I reckon I like this. Why did we link with Waffle though? I like it, as I shop there heaps, but I know a few people here don't like him.

What a great site! My Collection/Wishlist imported perfectly from over at DAC.
I particularly like the eBay function. I shall browse around for a while.
                      Thanks so much!

Buncha familiar names in here. I went with a new name for a new place, but I'm gospodin (Steve) from DAC, turtahead from W900 and Capt. Rickenbacker from 400SH. Looks like an interesting place, so I'll just wander a bit like Neil there.

Looking good so far, very nicely set out, but strange that hardly anyone has an avatar yet, everybody looks the same.
