Hello all! I figured i'd tell you about a new feature we have on DiMA... Tags! What are tags? Essentially they are categories, or names that you can assign to a new topic/thread. For example, on this post I used the following tags:
dima, tags, how to
Now how do tags help you? On the home page you'll see a Tag Cloud - The larger the font size, the more trending topics there are on those tags. Clicking on the tag will bring you to a page that searches and finds those threads that have the tag.
Tags are free flowing text, you can also select from some popular ones, and you are allowed up to 4 tags per topic. So as an example, suppose you post something specific every 2 weeks. Say a photo of a new model and your username is FlightBoy, you could use the tags: Flight Boy's Photos, 727, 1:200 Then the next time around for another one you could do: Flight Boy's Photos, A320, 1:400
To add tags to a new thread/topic - just click the Tags + below the message entry box. Choose from common tags, or enter your own and hit enter after each one. Thats it!
The more we all use tags, the more it will bring all of our threads closer together. We'll start using them for New Release announcements and more!
