Model Compare - You wont find this on any other site, Model Compare! Choose up to 3 models in your search results or in your collection and click "Compare". The system will show you a side by side comparison of each model's attributes and automatically highlight those items that differ. Pricing at various retailers will be added in the future! Logo Database Uploads - The other day we announced our logo database with over 7400 Airline, Manufacturer and Airport logos to our website; the upload feature is now active. You can upload any logos that you would like to see on the site. http://www.diecastmodelaircraft.com/logos
Top Model List - Curious to know what the most (or least) popular model is? Which model to people want the most or which seems to be the most frequently sold? Its all here in the Top Model List: http://www.diecastmodelaircraft.com/database/toplist
Photo Uploads - As a reminder, on every model detail page there is a link titled "Upload a photo of this model!" - Click that link and you can upload model photos. Once approved they will be shown on the model detail page and watermarked with your name.
Quick Links - At the top of the main database page we have reinstated our quick link feature. With one click you can display the newest models, the most popular scales & manufacturers and our Top Model List, just look just below the main menu here: http://www.diecastmodelaircraft.com/database/
Server Tweaks - The result; Lightning FAST page loads and response times. With the new server we've been able to place more of the database and the code into system memory and cache; we've also made some tweaks to how images are stored and cached on your browser. The end result is a much quicker experience for our users.
More Scale Graphics - We've made some additional color coded graphics for even more scales. The distinct colors make the visual appearance of the search results and your collection much easier to view.
Visual Enhancements - We've added a bit of eye-candy around the logos, flags and other graphics on the site. We'll add these to other areas of the site as we make other improvements.
Model Collection Import - This has been disabled as the other websites have moved to a new platform that doesn't support public views of collections.
