    Your thoughts on DiMa....

We know you have a choice out there for databases and collection systems, but we'd like to hear from you. Tell us what you like and what you don't like about this site. We'll listen and we'll work to make this the best site available for Model Aircraft collectors.

Team DiMA is made up of collectors, just like you. We use this site as much as you do to keep track of your collection and trade models. We collect and want to talk about planes.

So come on, tell us what you like, tell us what you don't like. We can take an insult if you care to throw one at us, and we'll take it as a compliment and work hard to fix whatever caused you to feel that way. Our promise to you.

    -Team DiMA

I tought Waffle had moved this wantlists to DIMA databases, but when I receive the weekly e-mail with my want list (with the models available for sale), the list shown is based on Waffle website wantlist, not on DIMA list. Why?

Should be fixed; we found the error.

    Love Dima.
Is there maybe a way to tweak the database advanced search with the following (not critical, just a nice to have).

The Boeing customer code for SAA planes are -44. Ex Boeing 747-400 model becomes 747-444.
Now airlines sell their planes after a while and they end up at other operators.
I thus want to search the database for all occurences of a boeing model which ends in 44. Don't mind doing each boeing product individually, but would like an option to type in the full search term "Boeing 707-344" etc.
(oh and I ask this here as I hope it would at least show something else as the top topic other than the one which is currently being shown). Win-win.

The DiMA logo was recently changed to VBulletin on the header of the site, is this permanent or are we going to see the DiMA logo come back?

Just love the Database and Personal Collection features, just one thing if this could be implemented and that is: If you have a model that is not in the database for some reason or other, and you have to add it manually into the Custom section of your Collection, would the ability to add your own photos into the description list.I'm sure this would be a welcomed addition by all.

It's got little to do with the currency itself.

Now how much attention you really pay to the value depends on you: Do you buy models to enjoy them or do you want to make money off them?

Thanks, DiMA team, for keeping the site up and running.
That's a very good point. Unfortunately here in UK, HM Customs have recently become very proactive in that anything bought from outside the EU with a customs declaration value of 15 or over will be charged an additional 20% VAT tax plus a whopping 8.00 GDP handling fee, all paid before delivery. Therefore the price paid varies between country and makes it no longer viable to buy from outside the EU.

May I with respect ask you to scrap it. You seem to base your prices on what you would pay in the U.S, and calculate them from there. If I took any notice of that information I've lost a great deal of money because we have to pay a good bit more for our planes here in Europe being as most of us are, in the Eurozone.
Sorry no plans to scrap the value system. Its actually calculated and converted with current exchange rates. Value is based on what people world wide have paid for a model, not just in US

Also if you could make models show as available when other retailers have them (though that my hurt business wise) that would be amazing.
Emails are sent when items are in stock at two retailers and if its found on ebay if they are in your want list. They are sent weekly.

If you want other retailers, ask them to contact us.
