Good question, are you inquiring about 1/400 or 1/200 scale? I do believe in the 1/400 scale it may all depend on the actual air frame/mould. In 1/200 scale I would say that Gemini 200 has really stepped up in this scale and has made many collectors happy the past few years. I think Phoenix in 1/200 only produces limited moulds; I will leave it to other DIMA collectors/members to chime in. Thank you, Bb
well LANFUN, i actually asked the same question a few months ago, and from what I got, it's all on personal choice. What do you prefer, which model manufacturer speaks out to you. I've collected Geminijets 1:400 for 8 years now and in my opinion the quality of Geminijets is enough for me. I am going to be purchasing my first Phoenix model next month, and I'm a bit nervous since the price jumps higher for Phoenix models. Again Lanfun it's what you like, for example: some people will swear Toyota is a great car brand, others will say BMW, or Mercedes, it's all in the eye of the beholder.
Phoenix has taken the extra step by adding some antennas on some of their models; which is kinda cool. Just be careful that you don't knock off the antennas by accident. I gave up looking for it when i did that to my UA 1/200 model by G200; so I can't imagine the difficulty with that happening with a 1/400 model.
I believe that both PH and GJ (along with JC Wings, Apollo/WW and Aeroclassics) release very good product. If you are looking for a particular airline or reg number it
may be available from one but not the other. Pick and chose what you want in your fleet and you can't go wrong. As far as pricing goes I think you will see them going
up in 2014 due to all of the factors. Collectables, no matter what it is, all come at a price. Select your favorite dealer and run with them. It's a very enjoyable hobby for me
and I hope it is for you too.
