That is not a question for Flight Director. Waffle owns the majority of everything along with an undisclosed partner. Waffle does not moderate and is not involved in the day to day operations. He has an agreement with Flight Director for the logos for unlimited use here and on other sites.

Thanks.. Agreed its not the best idea, I gave them plenty of warnings of the dynamics of the site and that its very complex. They decided at the time to trust HobbyDB and brush me off, I mean I only ran the sites from 2001, what would I know?

I'll admit I had no idea that MasMedia bought the database from HobbyDB... that was news to me, so I think MasMedia thought I was trying to contest that, which i wasn't. At the end of the day I told what I knew, and now apparently MasMedia owns it all and will try to resurrect what they can..

Oh well.. such is life.

Hi maxDelta and Delta Airlines.. Yah you know whats funny, in the end, I wound up sacrificing my account for everyone at Wings900 and DAC.. Because of my discussions I actually woke up MasMedia for the users. They now know they have a bunch of restless users on their hands and are going to try hard to win them back. So I guess I took one for the team, and end up here in asylum!

Looks like what we can all do is recruit people here to see how we can grow it.

I just came here from DA.C. Same username over there. I am sorry that they banned you Flight Director. You definitely were speaking the truth. What is more surprising is that they paid enough attention to ban you . I had an account here for a while just for the great database (with logos!) and I hope to make this my regular forum because I am sick of all the BS posted on DA.C. Hopefully, I can help forge this forum into something great!

It's the same MaxDelta as Wings900. Made an account a while ago, but I'll start using it more now. The database is a lot better here, I imported some of my collection less than a year ago. Will do the rest soon. I'll see how the things with Wings900 turn out but I'll start coming here more often.

So forget about the other forums and help make Dima an even better one, or it might appear that people want to use Dima just until they can go back to the other forum?

It would be great to get the critical mass going here to really get Dima going. I do hope that people come to contribute and not only to lament the slow and painful death of forums. Sorry Flight Director, it must be painful for you personally to see something you built up go down the tubes. But I urge you to take joy in the fact that you got it to what it was at its heyday and that most people feel sad that it is not what it is anymore. You can find joy in that. Letting go and moving on sure isn't easy. :-(
