  • DiMA September Update - Forum upgrade, biggest month ever, and google placement!

    Big Forum Upgrade Completed
We mentioned this in our July update, and as of today the major forum update is complete! Most of the fixes you won't see, but do contribute to a smoother and easier to use experience. Some items you may notice:
    • Improved image attachments to posts - You can now drag your attachments into your posts, resize, and align with the editor.
    • Improved editor - Improvements and more features added
    • Email notifications - We will admit it, we hacked the software so that you could get notifications. Now the software has all the proper notifications built in!

    Our Biggest Month Ever!
We aren't afraid to share our statistics, in August 2014, we had our biggest month ever. We served over 1 million pages and 14gb of data! And since we are 'geeking' out on numbers, we are closing in on 300,000 model price points and 10,000 model user ratings, that is up from 120,000 and 4,000 respectively just a year ago! Close to 300% growth.
    Google Placement
Good news, you'll be able to find us better in searches on Google. Nearly 1/2 of the submitted pages have been accepted by Google, and we just submitted an all new map of our data for the forums. This will help increase traffic and make it easier for you to find what you are looking for.
    Thank You
As always, we realize you have a choice of databases forums and collection systems and we appreciate your continued support.

Awesome! I'm liking this new update. Already looks and feels better than the old system. I'll start subscribing to some forums right now.

Nice job team.. reminds me of the good old days when Jim, Michael and I would release something new on Wings900 and DAC... Keep it up, you'll win over the hearts of the community. You guys clearly know what users want and actually care for us.

            Those are great improvements.

Did you make a decision yet re. the items listed at http://www.diecastmodelaircraft.com/...d-to-dima-next

My biggest dislike (if any) is how long it takes to get models added/approved. The mainstream models are added really quickly, but the more exotic ones, or corrections, take ages (or so it feels), and rejection messages are not entirely conclusive as to what may have been missing. I appreciate you only have one dedicated person to do that, but you've been offered help by qualified people. Therefore, #8 on the list gets my vote, at least it would help me to keep track of my submissions.
