I just thought I'd throw my cap into the ring and say hello. I'm completely new to collecting, though not to model building (since I was 7-I'm erm...late 40's now.) Or aviation (this goes hand in hand with the modelling! ) I was aware of die casts but never took the plunge, till now.
I am getting started in 1/500 (don't tell the wife!) Mainly because of the room. The new collection will have to vie with my plastics, Airsofting and railway modelling. I have a few on order from fleabay, and must say, I'm a bit of a giddy kipper waiting for 'em!
I intend to build an airport(well, more of an apron and whatever I can fit in the small space I have). This was a bit of a revelation, I never thought there would be so much for this aspect of things!
Anyhoo, you regulars need to be ready for my bombardment of questions regarding the hobby. I apologise in advance for any inexperience/stupidity!
