Western DC-4 ordered!!!

Fantastic set of releases this month and many just perfect for my period Heathrow airport. Nice to see all those DC-6s reissued on the new DC-6 mould. However, the model of Aer Turas DC-4 EI-APK is inaccurate.When Aer Turas leased this aircraft from Alitalia, they repainted the blue pin-striped cheatlines GREEN as well as the roof titles and nose insignia. The Italian green/white/ red tail stripes were repainted in Irish green/white/orange. Also, the aircraft wore the name “Monarch of Munster” on the nose which is missing .
Great shame as pics of this were sent to AK a long time ago! Looks like AC have taken the easy way out and just changed the titles and reg. from Alitalia’s EI-ANL, which is accurate.

I love the Buffalo C-54A and I will order one.

It also looks like I will be whipping out the fine brush, the magnifying glass, & the testors hobby paints in order to repaint the forward strut the appropriate steel color and put some red prop-tips and dark gray prop bosses on.
