  • Very specific request

So I'm looking for a very specific piece of airline memorabilia.

Back in the late 80's and early 90's American Airlines used to sell a plush toy out of their inflight magazine. It was a dog that was dressed as a pilot with the American Airlines logo on its chest.

I've been looking for this item or any information on it for several months now and have found nothing. I was wondering if anyone here would be able to point me in the right direction so that I could find one or at least find the manufacturer that used to make them!

Attached is photo of one today, albeit a very old and beat up version of it.

    Thanks for any help!

Sorry I don't know anything. I will keep an eye out for one for you. Try making a saved search on ebay?

Have you contacted American Airlines' PR department yet? Maybe they could help you?
Also, if there is a public library close to where you live, you might ask them if they possibly have the magazine on Microfiche. From that you can get a copy of the page which might help you in your search as it will also provide a date for the Magazine, thus a time-period the staff can use to help you.
