And also model 66668 does not have GE-90 engines it has Rolls Royce Trent 800 engines.

Just wanted to point it out to Waffle so it can be corrected.

Although the model has a registration I have been unable to find any details on what the registration is.
This one still hasn't been added. Should I just re-submitt it using the submit feature?

Same here SLA, I've tried letting waffle know about the DB issue on my end and I don't even know when waffle will fix all of our issues on the DB

        • he'll likely pic some day to do all of them at once. if he's the only one doing them, then i assume it's low priority.

Correct. Waffle has his shop to run and a full time job. he is our DB expert here and the mainstream models come first. Then when there is time left he will add those requested and fix any errors. Be glad we aren't spending time adding Matchbox and model kits to our system like other "hobby databases" are doing.

            • You got a point Ops, the DB is already crazy I would not want to see what it's like with planes from unrecognized brands or like you said model kits...

                • Yes matchbox and dyna flites! lol

www.hobbydb.com - if you can stand the 30 second page load time

examples of what they are now focused on:
                  Dyna Flites:

                  model kits:

                  Lego:

Remember hobbydb is the new Wings900/DAC database. They can't add 1:400/1:200 to the existing database but they have time to add that junk that collectors don't care about. It is clear they do not understand their audience. Not to mention all the errors on the site and the sound of crickets over there whenever someone asks to have something fixed. They keep promising and promising.

                  • Love how the site has 6-7 problems they are aware of and have only completed 1, and the loading is ridiculous on that page. I guess I took the instant search of our database for granted.

They have had that up there for weeks now. Obviously nothing is getting better despite all those coming attractions and promises.

                      • As a friendly reminder, as Ops Manager has said, I do have a full time job, plus running my own shop, plus the holidays, plus family, plus attempting to have a normal life, plus organizing a 600+ person event, plus another million other things. The database is going to focus on certain mainstream manufacturers. If you have a one off PacMin or B2 models or whatever, then simply add it to your custom model list. It's simply not going to be added. Risesoon/Skymarks will be batch process added a couple times a year when time permits, there simply isn't enough collectors buying/adding them in to cater to a handful of people and that goes with most other non-priority lines.

Also, I see when you add corrections and or new models. It is NOT necessary to add, it multiple times or to ask when it will be updated.

I keep quiet these days, but ohhhhh the stories we could tell. If anyone knew half of what went on (and could be still going on) behind the scenes at those sites their jaw would probably drop. Glad that I got off that sinking ship and took a break from collecting. This place is a sweet retreat with a team that actually knows about collectors and understands them.

                          • Is it possible to modify the sticky to reflect more accurately what the exceptions are for the thread. That way people don't have false exceptions, keep nagging, posting multiple times or expect things to get updated w/ in minutes or hours of their post. (unless someone wants to & authorized to volunteer to update the DB, but i get the impression you need some program skills(?))

BTW, i was clueless about Risesoon / skymarks being on the low end of collectible models! [this would explain why i just found 8 very old model releases that aren't even in the DB]

You mistake in the description of this model of the IL-976 aircraft command and measuring point (SCIP). Currently, this aircraft has a registration number 76455 he belongs to the military and air forces of the Russian Federation. not the USSR. Just on the wings of the USSR remained prefixes currently. Russia - Air Force
P.S. Witty Wings have made this model at the request of Russian collectors :)
