Very sorry to see this go but totally understandable. Too many leeches in this hobby and it has gotten worse within the last few years or so, absolutely sick of it, now a simple DB isn’t even safe. A sad reflection on the state of affairs.
Thank you for your 20+ years of hard work, it didn’t go unnoticed

That's sad to see that this wonderful website and data been stopped because of a adult argument... Thanks for the original owner that made this website possible.

Hello,
I started collecting recently and already used the database a lot. I have always found this tool to be amazing. I didn't know one person was so deeply responsible for all of that. The fact that it was available for free and the thought that it certainly had some kind of cooperation involved always made my day better.
Thanks for your great work, Waffle. Sorry I didn't thank you before.

Hello to all,
I have only now realized what has happened. I think it's a shame what some people do on the internet to make a profit. I totally understand how you feel Waffle.
I have read many comments and agree with most of them.
I also think that this site (DIMA) should be continued because it is simply great.
And I am also in favor of paying a yearly fee to get access to everything.
This database was great and is worth continuing (even for a fee).
I ask you, Waffle, to reconsider everything and keep us informed.
Thank you for everything
And thank you all.

This is unbelievable that because of one low life, we all have to pay. Now, we cannot update our collections or add anything to our "Want List"... What's the point now? I have tried to contact other collectors to see if they want to sell me some models, but no one is responding now. Very disappointed...

Define “obscure” ;-)
But yeah, what’s going on with the scales other than 1:200 and 1:400, waffle? Weren’t they going to stay?

And now all the 1:72-scale models are gone. This wonderful database has been reduced to two obscure Herpa models. What a shame.
Thanks for allowing us to use the database for all those years, Michael--it was truly a great help.

Dear Waffle,
I want to express my deep gratitude for the incredible work you've done with the database. As a collector for the past four years, your platform has been instrumental in helping me grow my collection to over 2,000 models. The detailed information you provide has been invaluable, especially the eBay availability feature, which has saved me numerous times by ensuring I never missed out on rare models up for sale.
Even though I haven’t updated my collection on the database recently because I prefer to keep a personal spreadsheet with my own photos, I still rely heavily on your database for various purposes. Whether it’s checking market prices, discovering new models, monitoring availability on eBay, facilitating trades, or keeping an eye on manufacturers, your database is my go-to resource. The email notifications for eBay listings have been a game-changer for me.
I must admit, I wasn’t aware until now that you were the sole person behind all the updates and additions. I originally thought the database was a collaborative effort. Now, understanding the enormous task you've undertaken, I am in complete awe of your dedication. Please know that I am ready to offer my help in any way possible, and I’m sure the community would also rally behind you if assistance is needed.
Furthermore, if a subscription model is introduced, I will definitely support it. Your efforts have made a significant difference in my collecting journey, and I am truly grateful for everything you’ve done.
Thank you again for creating and maintaining such a magnificent tool. Whatever decision you make about the future, you have my full support.
Best regards,
Coolos
