Is there any thought allowing us to add our photos to our Custom list? I have 61 Customs and would like to keep the photos with the related description.

Can some one please help me with an answer to what might appear to be a stupid question, namely, why are collections listed in such an arbitrary way? May I suggest that they be listed in the order they were bought in or gifted to the owner. I keep a spread sheet of all the models in my collection in the order I got them, just so I know any particular model I want to check on is only a click away. I take this chance to wish all collectors a very happy New Year.

Sharing my thoughts

I joined W900 when it was W500 and have enjoyed the people I have met, the models bought & sold and the reference material available, However its been a while since have enjoyed being on the site, its has gone down hill.

I heard about DIMA a few weeks ago and I registered last night. This morning I had problems importing my collection over so I asked for help. Less than four minutes later, BINGO I had help. Web Administrator helped me, who am I kidding, he did it all for me and it worked great! On W900 I have left several message and questions and NADA! Here a quick ask and wow great service.

I am looking forward to learning more about the site and contributing to its success.

We are out to show that this hobby still has lots of good people in it. There has been turmoil and turnover elsewhere, think of this as a sanctuary, a new place that you can come to, feel refreshed and help build from the ground up!

I'm very lucky to have a large collection and am finding it is hard to search my collection (have been loading it in to a long browser page and using the in browser search) but with all the graphics it puts a real strain on my web browser. it would be cool if there was a way to search my collection. in order to utilize the code that's already there, what if with the "got this, want this" links in the search, when you have it already, and you click it again, it asks you if you want to go to that model in your collection, or add a second model to the collection? same thing with want this to ask if you want to go to that entry in wanted (in order to remove it) or to move that model to your collection.

You can turn off the photos and other items in your preferences: http://www.diecastmodelaircraft.com/preferences
This will make your collection load faster. In the future we will add a search for you collection, better sorting, etc.

another idea that would be cool is a link to "related models" aka the same (aircraft, airline, scale, maybe manufacturer) model but with a different registration number.
