• Yes John I do blood checks every day. Right now it is once a day since my numbers are under control. It was six times a day when I was first diagnosed. Then it went to 3 times a day and now once a day. Will see if it remains the same after today's visit.

<DIV>You are right Alex, they just dont make them the same. My aunty worked at Four n twenty for years and years. With all the freebies she brought home, you could slowly see the product going down hill.</DIV>
<DIV>If you want a good meat pie, try Mrs Macs!! They sell them at petrol stations, beautiful. I think you can even get the 4 packs at Coles or Safeway for around $8!</DIV>

                      I don't think I've seen Villi's recently, Balfour's yes. What are berliners?

                          • Just to bore everyone to death i just got home from visit #1. Which was my diabetic check up. Morning reading should be under 7.0 it was. The 3 month average should also be under 7.0 and it was. Good cholesterol should be higher than 1 and it was. The one that had me worried since I knpw I had been eating certain foods I shouldn't have was my bad cholesterol. Being diabetic they want the reading under 2 and surprisingly it was. The bad number was blood pressure but that is probably caused by the stress at work right now. Overall in and out of the office in 10 minutes. He told me I am one of his easiest patience.

Yes Steve these are good numbers. Imagine how good it would be if all members participated. Still we cannot complain the forum is doing very well as far as I can tell.

When at the departure lounge asked if there was any way to sit together. I was told flight is fully booked probably would not happen. Then I was paged and they were able to move us by the emergency door in front of the wing. Great seats and was able to talk to the flight attendant when she was in her jump seat. Overall a good experience with them.
Those seats were great - lots of elbow room and tons of leg room! I was impressed with the spacious bathrooms as well. The f/a was excellent and once I found out that she shares my love of "feathered" birds, a major yak was on! It was thrilling finally getting to fly on a triple. One day, will have to try out the 300ER!
