• It appears the 'Big Anouncement' from Gemini turned out to be R/C after all. Not something i personally will be getting into, but i'm sure it will appeal to some and i wish GJ all the best with their new venture.( Pity they did'nt use the money to make a new B757 mould.)

A Royal Brunei 757 would be my choice, catered em a heap of times and crews were brilliant
some really great memories from 1989

One fantastic looking scheme too

The link to the GJs r/c page does not show the Delta 777 which is probably still being developed. But it looked a pretty neat piece of kit with nothing to make you think it was r/c when it was just sitting on the ground. Would like to know what power units it has and what type of batteries fuel them. Gues we'll have to wait a while for it to appear on their catalogue.

• Steve good to hear about your tires from Herpa. Glad to have helped you out. As for the GJ big announcement to me it was rather disappointing. Not quite sure how that will work. Wish them all the best with it.

Yeah I wasnt expecting that to be the announcement too.... see how this venture unfolds for GJ.

Be interesting to see if they were to do 747s and A380s.

Just scored today three Aeroclassics TAM babybuses (A319, A320 and A321) current livery on Ebay for AU$12 each. Shipping all up is $15, total AU$51, thats about $17 a pop....bargain! I've been looking for a TAM Brazil bird for a while, but never thought id be lucky to score these this cheap! Agreed.

What surprised me was the fact that Gemini thought the diecast community would be really wetting their pants over this announcement. The RC community maybe...

Eh, I'm finding it harder and harder to get enthused over Gemini's monthly releases as well.

Not that I'm bitter that Gemini won't even take a 'risk' with Air New Zealand 733 &amp; AT7 releases...

• <div>Hit a southern SAFWAA dam last arvo, looking for my first club rainbow.</div><div>
</div><div>I was greeted with this when I first got there.</div><div></div><div>(Not the best sight to greet you :P)</div><div>
</div><div>Anyway I sent out a bait rod while flicking lures for not a touch for a while. Then after I switched to a spinner, I started noticed a few rises and jumps. A trout jumped fairly close in to the shore, I flicked the spinner about a metre to the left and a metre further out past the trout. Halfway back to shore the spinner got crunched and I landed this lively rainbow(my first club rainbow and my 1st rainbow landed since May 2011.)</div><div></div><div>
</div><div>
</div><div>After swimming it for a minute or so(getting water back into its gills), it swam off nonchalantly.</div><div>
</div><div></div><div>
</div><div>
</div><div>I saw several other rises and jumps, I should have taken my fly rod instead of a bait rod. The bait didn't even get touched.</div>
