--Better late than never I guess!!!
My much awaited Mack B Double semi trailer has finally arrived!!!!!!
Postmarked 04 Jan, it finally arrived Adelaide 31 Jan. Customs must have held onto it for a while.
Still, its a great looking model in 1/87 scale...... any guesses as to how long it is and how many tyres it has????
First trailer is a 27 ft, 2nd is a 45ft. (If that helps!!!)
Next project is a road train=3 trailers!!!

--Damn, Ive just scaled it out, technically a B double overall length is 26 m--85 ft max, mine is 27.2m so 1.2m- 4 ft over length. A 40ft tri-axle van trailer is now sought, so its politically correct!!!!Originally posted by ALITALIA_747
Good to hear that your models arrived safely Steve. Better late than never, ey?
<div>I picked up my Phoenix Jetstar A330-200 today, and was pretty happy with it. Am going to doa model review on it.

--At moment she is illegal!!! 310mm=31cm=12 &1/4 in overall, so is actually in real life 4 feet=1.2 m too long by law!!! On my guestimates i was close, but are infact 14mm-half inch and a bit too long, a 40-41 ft tri will be perfect!!!
hard to tell as had no scale ruler at ordering time, so guess work came into play!!! Will order 40 ft chassis, have a shipping container thats ideal, so glue to chassis an im done!!!!TNT is on container so nice and Aussie i think!!! perhaps woolies?? coles, me thinks along those lines at moment!!! so will soon have spare Tri 45, and spare 27 tandem, so plan B is short prime mover(single axle rear) not tandem with 27 ft trailer for local delivery, Something Volvo?, or other EURO prime mover, 45 ft can hitch to anything!!!

<DIV>But I thought you get given them just before childbirth. Puts a smile on the face of a mum to be, so I'm told.</DIV>Mike
