    • had a light shower here a couple hours ago, mostly dry here at moment!!
Sad to read on police news here a bike race official has died on a main road here after two car drivers collided, one striking the official on the side of the road, he died in hospital, both drivers of the cars in mid 70's, road toll stands at 44 so far this year, a number of fatals have involved elderly drivers which makes you wonder if they are medically fit to drive????
An elderly couple in 80's were killed when they ignored? a give way sign and a truck took both of them out instantly, truck rolled over too a sad country accident, tragical thing to happen, but more stringent tests should be done after 70 years of age i believe.
Interesting to see what transpires after this latest accident

                • Trawling ebay.com.au typed in 1/87 and that kept me going as there are thousands of entries, notably of interest were chairs, park benches, tables, and obligatory trucks, cars and diggers of course, Mike theres some really good stuff out there and quite reasonably priced except the Preisser prepainted figures-(OUCH)- Very good with $$$ to match. I want to get two cars later at about 17 each post on top, a Holden and a Ford from 1962!!!! My birth year, normally i would not get em but seeing im 50 late this year, i want a momento from that era. !!!!
                  Sentimental reasons you might say!!!
Im wondering what major jet types first flew or entered full service with airlines (planes built in 62)
Might have to do some home work on that one.....

Nice to have some trivia from 1962 thats for sure. Hopefully some of you can steer ne in the right direction!!!

<DIV>Yeah, i am considering the Herpa release Mike. But my prefered scale would be 1:400. We still do not have the Australia Asia SP in 1:400, and that is why i am verytempted.</DIV>

                    • Chances are John it may be done in 400 scale, I would hold off for a while and see what happens.
Inevitable that ya buy the 200 scaler, then a week later the 400 is announced.!!!

Alternatively you wait for the 1/400 that never gets done, then find out the 1/200 has sold out and you have to buy one on eBay selling for twice the price.
How many times has that happened in the past. If I where you I'd get the 1/200. Presume it's plastic fantastic though.

A man after my own heart. Lost count of the number of times I've crumbled.

Mrs J-R has crumbled several times as well, but it's always rhubarb flavoured, with custard.
