  • Good work Jase on your milestone.

I don't particularly like how the media labels the tremor as an earthquake because referring to an earthquake scares the living heck out of people particularly family and friends who live away from the so called 'quake' soon and causes unnecessary stress and anxiety, particularly with the elderly. No one wants to experience a 'real' earthquake like the ones in Chile in 2010 and Christchurch + Japan in 2011. Those are earthquakes!

    • Amen to that Gonzalo, I was in Japan when we had a 7.8 or 8. My sister got thrown out of the bath and hit the edge of the tub and killed the nerve in her tooth.(her tooth later fell out) It was a tremor nothing else, when the house next door is falling or fallen over and the road has massive holes then I'll say Earth quake! Bloody media sh*t me with their BS!

      • Do you get hot and bothered if you receive a model in a damaged box even if the model inside is perfectly OK????
        <DIV></DIV>
<DIV>Yes it's rather annoying but I don't display the box so don't really care. But if you buy the model with the intention of selling on (presumably for profit) I can understand your frustration. But are you an enthusiasticcollector or a wheelerdealer??</DIV>

            • My computer repair guy just left. He could not get any files from the old hard drive. The data is still recoverable but he didn't have the tools to do it. From what he saw from the hard drive and the fact the router didn't work he now figures there had been a major power surge that fried the hard drive , mother board and router. So I have most of my files back and running. I have my new invoice on excel, he set up my e-mail account one problem old em-mails are now lost so I need to set up my address book on it. Fortunately I had set up my customer e-mail file on the laptop about 2 months ago. Which now appears to have been a good thing to do. So I am more or less back up and running on all cylinders. Still some files to re-create on excel but that will come in time nothing urgent.

              • same thing happened to me mark just over a year ago. my son was playing on computer, and suddenly there was a small bang and a flash and nothing! my brother looked at it, and it had fried everything like yours. said a power surge caused it, even though it was on a surpe protect plug!!! lost loads of pics and other bits and pieces.

                              • Hey all, greetings from a very warm New York! 37c here today and yesterday! Flight out was delayed by 5 hours! So I was awake for 22 hours! US Airways did give us some food vouchers and rearranged our connections though so that was helpful! Anyway off to do the natural history museum and sail round Manhattan on a old style clipper! Hope you are all well!
