same thing happened to me mark just over a year ago. my son was playing on computer, and suddenly there was a small bang and a flash and nothing! my brother looked at it, and it had fried everything like yours. said a power surge caused it, even though it was on a surpe protect plug!!! lost loads of pics and other bits and pieces.

I dread the day that happens to me. Thats why I upload as many pics as possible to photobucket.. just give that extra sense of security knowing theres a back up.

A rude awakening for people in my street, with building works going on at the College opposite me, a number of cement mixers started turning up with a few having noisy units to spin the bowls, im fine with that, BUT this was from 0530 this morning. Why they didnt park up the street where there is no house, baffles me. Must be a bloody big pour as many trucks have come n gone, one out the fronts a "10" legger, 12 tyres at rear, 4 steering tyres, in front is a 8 legger, tandem steer, tandem rear, rest have been 6 legger, tandem rear, 2 steering tyres, most common seen. I dare say numerous trucks will be coming and going all day now.

You should call the council Steve about their early start. As far as i know, any type of "works", from running machinery etc in residential areas is meant to start not until 8am. This is though the rule from Wollongong Council. Im not sure in yours, but i'd be wise to check up if they are going to be like that for longer...[img]smileys/smiley14.gif[/img]

Hows the weather for you chaps in Victoria, apparently youve had the biggest downpours for June in 3 decades. It's breezy and overcast for Sydney and the south coast, with a few drops here and there. Hope it holds out til tonight as i gotta go to work this arv.

I have returned and pretty much abandon 400sh. The place has become very pathetic filled with trolls that pop out only to whine and never contribute anything to the forum. I have noticed that posts are getting deleted left and right while annoying ones stay.

I'm completely done with the plane hobby but I kept all of what I have purchased. I'm still continuing with the trains however.....oh, and photography too. I will post some pics of old and new stuffs soon.

Good to see you back Taki, and we welcome your input mate, as for the other frum, well lets just say its not a good situation, and I will leave it at that, Here at MAC, we do things differently, and hopefully a lot better for all concerned.

We lack the numbers but the overall friendliness and comradery here is great for all.

Once we get more and more defectors from other forums who have had enough of deletions, sarcasm, worthless posts and so on, MAC will thrive hopefully very well.!!!

ON A SIDE NOTE, IM HAVING SOME PC ISSUES AGAIN, IT SHUT DOWN ON ME THIS MORNING WHILE GOING THROUGH SOME THREADS, SO IF IM NOT AROUND YOU KNOW THIS OLD MACHINE HAS DIED ON ME AGAIN, CANT WAIT TO GET A NEW ONE AFTER LAND SALE!!!! IF IT DOES KEEL OVER IM GONNA SEE IF I CAN LOAN AN OLD ONE OFF FRIENDS IF NEEDED FOR A FEW MONTHS TILL I BUY THE NEW ONE, SO IF IM NOT HERE YOU KNOW WHY!!!
